Above is a photo of Leroy Ellis' crash in the north turn at Tulsa Speedway a week before Labor Day ,1965 Leroy lived about a week in St. John's ICU. This photo was made by Danley's photographer, Tim Malone. Tim had carried film for Danley a few years before Danley turned over the north turn to him. Tim will tell you that the regular photographer was unable to be there and Danley said " take this camera and cover the north turn even if you do not get anything there will be someone on the turn" Well, you can see after a while Tim turned out to be an asset to the team.
