Al Lemmons on the left was a Tulsa Stock Car driver.
Al was well known, well liked, and took home the "Most Popular" award a few times.

Pictured on the right is Dan Diaz with his arm around Al Lemmons.
This was at a legions race prior to the closing of the Tulsa track located on 66th street north.

Above on the left is Al and Ann Lemmons.
Ann could make a piano talk. She could play just like Floyd Cramer and if you were in another room you would think for sure it was Cramer.
The couple had two boys and a daughter. All three of the children have raced at one time.
Above in the upper right, (in the race uniform) is Al Lemmons.

| The photos on either side show how near Car 82 came to getting into the Tulsa stands. Lemmons was not injured nor were the fans. The car was owned by Carl Gregg. This was during a Dick Colvin Auto Racing Enterprises, Inc. race at the Tulsa Fairgrounds.

Lower left is Al Lemmons beside car 25. Owner of the car was Del Torrence.
This is the car that Al flew through the south fence during a race on the big track at Tulsa Speedway.
Al was not hurt and came walking through the open space in the fence holding his hands high to signal he was OK.
One lady said " I thought it was a ghost". It did look funny since he had on his white uniform.
