On the right is LaVone Hatch holding the family cat. Danley would give Bud Hatch STP decals and Bud showed Danley what he did with the decals. Bud would put a decal on each of the cats paws and then set the cat down and the show would begin. The cat could put two feet in the air at the same time ( opposit sides of the body) trying to shake off the decals.

On the right Mario presents Bud Hatch with the sportsmanship award for the 1965 season while promoter Dick Colvin looks on.
For those who knew Bud Hatch you will know that this was given to the right man. He was a very fair man and got along great with everyone. He had a great smile and we wonder if he was always thinking of one of his funny jokes.
