THE SNACK SHOP

What does the building on the right have to do with racing ????

Well,...If you were a teenager in 1945 and had been on the track for hours shooting midgets at the Dewey track then you would know that this place, the Snack Shop. It had the best hamburger steaks in the country.

The Barton-Clow team would head for the Snack Shop as quick as they could after the races.

That's right, they were teenagers trying to get filled up.

Much to Danley's surprise he and his wife Jo found the building still standing after 63 years.

This photo was made on Feb. 9, 2008.
It is located just over the Caney bridge as you enter Bartlesville from Dewey,OK.
